A writer always aspires to write a book masterpiece that he can be proud of. Steve Schmale seems to have hit this nail on the head with a sledgehammer! This is a story about Lenny Decker , unemployed, alcoholic, looking for the next high - beach bum - on what seems like a permanent vacation from life. Despite the fact that Lenny doesn't actually seem to do much, the author manages to keep the book at a fast pace - with such detailed imagery that just sucks you into the book with the characters. The book is interspersed with LOL moments and little nuggets of truth that open the eyes of the reader. You start the book and just cant put it down, not knowing if Lenny can in fact get his stuff together. This is an absolute stunning read and I could not recommend it more highly. Put it on your bucket list!
